DOGS FOR ADOPTION

PacoPaco

Paco is a 8 year old Chihuahua mix. He is very sweet and shy at first, gets a bit scared of quick movements but once he’s warmed up to you his loving true self comes out. He loves to cuddle, and play catch. Does well with cats and ferrets, a little dominating with other dogs. He doesn’t do well with very young children, but is good with older.

Sonny

Sonny is a sweet little guy that loves cuddling with you on the sofa or snuggling up to you in bed. He is great with other dogs and cats. He likes to go in his kennel when the human goes to work and when he wants a little break he will go relax on his blanket in his kennel. He is great on leash and off and comes when called. He needs a little work on learning how to sit but will try anything to get a treat. Sonny doesn’t show any interest for toys but he likes to chase and play with one of his foster brothers. He currently is living with 2 small dogs and a cat. He has also been introduced to 2 big dogs and he was fine around them. He should not go to a family with children under the age of 13. He is house trained and will go to the door to say he wants outside. He has a laid back personality and likes to relax on deck watching the neighborhood activities.

Rocket4Rocket

Rocket is a senior dog that has Cushings disease and little to no teeth. His Cushings disease is easily maintained with medicine that needs to be given twice a day. He needs a few minutes to warm up to new people but once he does is a very sweet, loving dog that really enjoys a good cuddle. He is great with other dogs and will need to go to a home with another dog. He is also great with cats as he ignores them completely. He is house trained and kennel trained. Although he may try to mark the first few days, he gets over this quickly with the help of a belly band and can be left out to sleep on the couch all day as well. He sits quite still for bathes and is learning to tolerate nail trimming as well. With the use of a harness, he is also a great walker and enjoys being outside to sit in the sun. He is an all-around great dog and will be a great addition to any family.

AriellaAriella

Ariella is a three year old Chihuahua cross, sweetheart. She’s the dog that doesn’t leave your side, she’s your shadow. She loves to cuddle and be a lap dog. Her favorite thing is giving kisses and getting belly rubs! She is house trained but can’t be left too long without going outside. She does really well with other dogs and cats but she would need to be introduced to any pets she would be living with first.

Lucy

Lucy

Lucy is a young (approx 1+ year) female mixed breed (Rottweiler / Shepherd) . She’s an absolute sweetheart that loves to be near her human or playing with other dogs.  She generally has a moderate energy level.

Lucy is house trained and her kennel training is coming along well. She’s kenneled during the day (when everyone is at work) and for night. She loves to be outdoors and she is working on loose leash walking in low distraction settings. Lucy is good with basic commands.

Lucy currently lives with large and small dogs, as well as cats. She does well with children. Lucy does not consider herself a lap dog, and she is quite content spending the evening laying at your feet.

Chris
Chris

Chris is slow to warm up and trust but once he has he’s a fun little guy. He will howl from time to time and chase his tail. He is very food motivate and has a huge appetite. He seems to show interest in toys, tug types mostly.

Chris will sleep in the humans bed with other dogs and once he is done with cuddles will move to the end of the bed. He’s fine loose in the house all day or in his crate. He does prefer to be loose and has had no issues with the other dogs.

Chris also does fine in the car in a crate and bath time went well. He loves to be outside and will let you know when he wants back in. He is very playful in the morning and gets excited to see you when you come home.

He is very leery about being picked up. It can be done but you must approach him slowly and tell him that you are going to do it and does not enjoy being carried around.

DividerJack

Jack

Jack is a young dog who loves being by his human, and is always game for an adventure. He is great on leash, enjoys car rides, playing with toys, big and small dogs and cats who have been around dogs. Jack is kennel trained, though he is now loose in the house, and house trained. He likes to share your bed at night, and loves a good cuddle session in the morning. He comes from a hoarding situation so is unsure of people at first, but will warm up with time and patience.
DividerGypsy4

Gypsy

Gypsy she is approximately 15 months old, 9 lb, Italian greyhound mix. She loves people, kids and other dogs. She would do ok with a dog savvy cat and she tries to chase them at times for fun. She loves to cuddle up under a blanket with you. She is working on house training.

She has a few health issues, including a frail stomach that makes her sick if she eats anything she shouldn’t such as bugs to grass and is on a very strict diet. She also had a floating kneecap but has since had surgery to fix it. She may have an issue with this in the future but right now it seems to have healed. You wouldn’t know that she has any of these issues as she is a little fighter and a strong girl with a will to live.

DividerCamiCami

Cami will probably never be a snuggling dog, but she certainly wants to be in the group. For someone that wants a companion, but not a needy dog, Cami is perfect! She does not like to be touched by humans, and can get skittish when cornered. But if the leash comes out to go for a walk, she’ll lick your hand when putting it on!

She has a tendency to be less trustworthy of men, and boys, but she slowly seems to be coming around. She is great with all dogs, big or small, as long as they aren’t aggressive toward her. Cami will find her favorite spot, build a trust with you for treats, and make you laugh with her antics. For the patient dog lover, Cami has many milestones to reach with you, and she will make you so proud!

Dhillon

Dhillon

Dhillon is an adult male, Chihuahua / terrier cross. He’s extremely affectionate and loves to snuggle. Very playful too. Dhillon is housetrained and kennel trained. He’s kenneled during the day (when everyone is at work) and for night. Dhillon currently lives with large and small dogs, as well as cats. He does well with children. He would be fine as an only pet or with other pets.

DividerCinnamon

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a young, 13 pound Chihuahua mix. She loves being near her people and will follow them around, cuddle whenever possible, and passionately demand attention with kisses or by pawing.

During the day, Cinnamon stays in her kennel without messes, is ridiculously happy to see you when you get home from work, and then snuggles under the covers in our bed at night. She is also house trained and goes outside to do her business, even when cold out.

Cinnamon also currently lives with several small dogs and will sometimes snuggle up with them, but can also be a bit possessive with others and shouldn’t be left unattended when her people go out just to be on the safe side. She would also do well as the only dog in the home too and is good with cats/kittens.

Overall, Cinnamon is generally quiet and pretty low energy. She’s also a bit of a chunky monkey who’s working to get her weight down, but is slimming down with controlled portions and will enjoy getting some exercise outside when the weather gets warmer. She really is a sweet, funny, cuddly little cinnamon bun who is looking for her new forever family!

* Cinnamon should not go to a family with kids under 13

Scotty

Scotty

Scotty is a small, 12 lb terrier mix. He came into rescue with a broken hip but he’s all healed now and ready for his forever family. Because of his hip injury, he has to wear a belly band as he dribbles from time to time, but it doesn’t slow him down! Scotty is a medium energy dog that loves to play fetch and tug-o-war. He would do best in a home with other dogs to play with. Aside from his dribbling, he is house trained and kennel trained at night. He is great with other dogs, but hasn’t been tested on cats although he would probably be fine. Scotty has an amazing, relaxed personality. He is very quiet (rarely barks at all) so he would be great for a condo lifestyle.
